I had no intention when fooling around with cocktail ingredients last night that this is essentially a Shirley Temple for big girls. It doesn’t contain grenadine, which is an integral part of the classic Shirley Temple, but managed to taste just like the childhood drink I used to adore.

Get out that cranberry juice and vanilla vodka you bought the other night to make the Marabou, add some Chambord (which I don’t think is absolutely necessary), some gingerale and drop a few maraschino cherries in, and you’ve got yourself a Surely Temple.

Make it (for two)

  • 3-4oz Vanilla Vodka
  • 2oz Chambord
  • 4oz Cranberry Juice
  • Splash of Ginger Ale

Pour vodka, chambord and cranberry juice into cocktail shaker with lots of ice. Shake well. Pour into desired glass, add a splash of ginger ale. Drop a few maraschino cherries or pieces of fruit into the bottom of the glass. DRINK!
